Jordan Ave. Apartments
Brier Architecture designed two 20+ unit apartment buildings that gained approval from the City of Los Angeles for zone changes from single family to multifamily lots. Approval of the zone change was contingent on our fulfillment of L.A.'s Urban Design Guidelines, a blueprint for improving the built environment.
A semi-private open space and xeriscape garden serve as the building's communal front porch. While providing a degree of group-privacy and security, this space offers access to shared amenities, a space for residents to interact, and a connection to pedestrians and neighbors on the street.
