The owners, a film score composer and a dancer, needed a recording studio and small dance studio as well as an outdoor hot tub and patio. The recording studio, guest bath, and equipment room are housed on the lower level in an acoustically isolated structure, protected against the vibrations from the dance studio above. The hot tub is sited to maximize privacy.

The dance studio is open to the views, light, and air, and marine railings remind you that the ocean is close by. The material palette is in dialogue with an existing 1920's era house on the property, while bringing a Modern sensibility.
