The PopUpSpot, capitalizing on a growing concentration of housing, cultural attractions, and foot traffic in L.A.’s Arts District, provides a collection of small scale restaurant and retail spaces. Like traditional market streets in every corner of the world, the project is part and parcel of the public streets and sidewalks that lead to it. Pedestrians passing through the space while en route to another destination become potential customers, and Pop Up Spot becomes a local meeting place.
